The Super Mario franchise has always been at the forefront of platforming innovation, from the 2D classics on the NES and SNES to groundbreaking 3D adventures on the Nintendo 64. Each new entry builds on the foundation of fun gameplay, colorful worlds and creative level design that has made Mario one of gaming's most iconic characters. With each leap to a new console generation, the series has found ways to both reinvent itself and feel timeless.
Released in 2010 for the Nintendo Wii, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the direct sequel to Super Mario Galaxy (2007). Building upon the gravity-defying mechanics of its predecessor, the game features even more imaginative galaxies, refined platforming challenges and the return of Yoshi as a key gameplay element. Praised for its creativity and difficulty curve, it's often regarded as one of the greatest 3D platformers ever made, pushing the Wii to its absolute limits.

By far the longest LP on my channel at the time of the creation of this website, this one lasted a whopping four and a half months! Not only did I play this game for the first time, but I also set out to do 100%: all 242 stars. What an adventure, let me tell ya! When the LP started, there was only the Wii version. During the course of it, the Galaxy 1+2 rereleases for Switch and Switch 2 were announced, introducing the new generation to these amazing games, and the Galaxy Movie was announced. Perfect timing! This LP lasted for 71 episodes.
