Super Mario Bros. 3 is widely regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time and a defining moment in Nintendo's history. Originally released for the NES in 1988 (and later remade in Super Mario All-Stars for the SNES in 1993), the game expanded the Mario formula in every imaginable way. With its world map system, branching paths, inventive level design and unforgettable power-ups, SMB3 set a new standard for platformers that still influences games today.
Developed by Nintendo under the direction of mastermind Shigeru Miyamoto, Super Mario Bros. 3 introduced iconic elements such as the Super Leaf, Tanooki Suit, Hammer Suit, Koopalings and themed worlds ranging from deserts and oceans to giant lands and sky kingdoms. The All-Stars version enhanced the experience with updated visuals, smoother animations and remastered music while staying faithful to the original design.
InvictusBM LP #017
The best NES game ever made, remade with SNES graphics: this is my SMB3 LP, played on the Super Mario All-Stars compilation from 1993! This is one of my all-time favorite games, so I was extremely hyped for this project and it might even become one of my favorites of 2026, despite being a rather short one! This LP lasted for 8 episodes.
