The Sonic the Hedgehog series has seen countless reinventions over the years, but Sonic Colors was the game that brought the Blue Blur back to form for many fans. Released in 2010 for the Nintendo Wii, it combined classic high-speed platforming with creative level design, a lighthearted tone and one of the most visually striking presentations in Sonic history. It proved that the franchise still had plenty of momentum in the modern era.
Developed by Sonic Team, Sonic Colors introduced the Wisp system, allowing Sonic to gain temporary power-ups inspired by different colors, from drilling underground to dashing through the air as a laser beam. Set in Dr. Eggman's interstellar amusement park, the game blends speed, exploration and platforming with vibrant music and creative worlds. Its mix of 2D and 3D gameplay made it one of the standout Sonic titles on the Wii and a favorite among fans.
InvictusBM LP #013
My first 3D Sonic LP, and yet another blind Sonic LP! This one was short but sweet, and it was a ton of fun, even though the final boss and parts of the Aquarium Park kinda took me out of it a bit. Still, this turned into one of my favorite 3D Sonic games. :D This LP lasted for 10 episodes.
