Full Name: Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
Console: Super Nintendo
Release Year: 1995
LP Timeframe: August 19th - September 28th, 2025
Released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest is the critically acclaimed sequel to Rare's groundbreaking Donkey Kong Country. Building on its predecessor's platforming excellence, DKC2 pushed the SNES hardware with stunning visuals, fluid animation, and a soundtrack that remains one of the most beloved in gaming history. With a darker, pirate-themed tone and a more challenging level design, the game quickly became a fan favorite and a benchmark for 16-bit platformers.
This time, Donkey Kong has been kidnapped by the nefarious Kaptain K. Rool, and it's up to Diddy Kong and newcomer Dixie Kong to rescue him. Players travel through Crocodile Isle's treacherous environments - from dangerous swamps and haunted forests to molten volcanoes and bramble-filled skies - each filled, with secrets, collectibles, and dangerous Kremlings. With its tag-team mechanics, animal buddies, and intricate bonus stages, DKC2 is a treasure trove of platforming brilliance.
InvictusBM LP #007
This one is my favorite game of the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, and also the hardest imo (at least of the trilogy... looking at you, Returns). Once again we're fully completing the game 102%: uncovering every bonus stage and finding every DK Coin. This LP lasted for 21 episodes.
